Sara (Klie) Hall - Chief Operating Officer at NH-ISAC, Inc

I've known Ray since 2003. I worked with him for many years at Booz Allen, and have kept in touch and reached out to him since. He's one of those people that is down to earth and personable - you know as soon as you meet him that he's good people. During my tenure at Booz Allen, my manager departed the firm and I had a few choices of where to go. I chose to move to Ray's Team because of the type of leader he is. He is excellent at nurturing talent and identifying the things that will resonate with each person to help them to grow as individuals. I was on the fence as to whether or not to take the next step in my career and Ray took the time to help me see what I was bringing to the table and how it fit in with the needs of the firm. This was a turning point for me because he helped me to not only believe in my professional value, but learn how to articulate it. He is a very strong writer and also coached me on how to convey my value on paper. I've used this throughout my career, each time I have taken a new step, thinking back to his advice on how to capture the context and importance of the work.

Ray is the kind of leader that builds relationships that endure. His prior teams all keep in contact with him because of what he built. He has a vision for how to shape teams around cybersecurity programs and is excellent at bringing the right talent to the table, helping them establish a vision and a strategy, and making sure they are set up with the right tools for success.

Jeffrey Ondris - Vice President at LCG, Inc.

I've known and worked with Ray in several organizations since 2007. Ray is a strategic leader with the unique ability to deliver in high-stakes environments where abstract concepts need to be monetized and executed across multiple client fronts with the zeal and expertise.

He uses his successful and unique approach as opposed to the traditional corporate "out of the box processes." Highly recommend him as a thought leader, doer, and visionary.

Daniel Hirsch - PR and Social Media Director at National Capital Area Council, Boy Scouts of America

Ray Tye is the real thing.

I worked with Ray for nearly two years as LCG’s Communications Director, reporting to him in his role as COO. During that time, he artfully guided our Grants and Health IT organizations through a difficult but successful merger, expanded our client base, and articulated and executed a sound but bold strategic vision for company growth—all while navigating embedded corporate artifices and creating new traditions to compliment two recently merged company cultures.

Ray’s executive leadership is everything that an employee hopes for: partnership with the boss, the integration of his staff’s good counsel in company operations, and a deep well of industry information and experience. He understands that planning and execution are of equal consideration, defining specific goals, but maintaining agility in his response to new challenges by putting in place the right people to get each job done. Most importantly, Ray gives credit when and where it is due, and he always takes responsibility for the tough decisions, firmly making them and explaining their necessity, benefits, and drawbacks with the urgency, ease, and understanding that every stakeholder deserves.

Ray Tye is, in all things, a pathfinder, a trusted colleague that knows when and how to take charge, and a worthy mentor in so many respects. I highly recommend him as a top-notch asset in any C-Suite, and look forward to working with him on future projects.

Eric Bauer - Program Manager at PAE

Ray always coached us leaders to "take care of your teams." And that is exactly what he did. He empowered leaders to take calculated risks, be accountable for decisions, and look beyond short term results. Even compassionate leaders have to deliver and Ray has high expectations for Program Managers. Ray made difficult but neccessary roster moves to ensure that our clients received optimal program delivery.

Leading by example and being strategic at his level of business resulted in a near perfect win rate. Ray entrusted his leaders to make significant contributions to new and competitive solicitations and that made us stronger. It also demonstrated to Ray, his high-achievers. When Ray left, he realized another of his leadership mantras... mobilize your second teams, so that they can carry out the missions when you move on to the next ones.
